There’s a particular kind of magic that happens on the third floor of Emara Ole-Sereni as the sun starts to dip over Nairobi National Park. The sky turns gold, the city hum fades into the background, and Acacia Restaurant comes alive with the smell of something wonderful cooking. If you haven’t experienced a Friday night here yet, consider this your invitation.
Every Friday from 6 PM, Acacia Restaurant hosts Signature Nights — a rotating buffet dinner series that takes you on a culinary trip around the world without leaving Nairobi. One week it’s the warm spice of India, the next it’s the bright, herby flavours of the Mediterranean, then the bold sizzle of Asia, the heartiness of Africa, and the comfort of Continental classics. Five cuisines, five completely different moods, one unbeatable view.
It isn’t just dinner. It’s live band entertainment drifting across the room, candlelight bouncing off copper karahis and sizzling platters, and a skyline that slowly gives way to the wild, open plains of Nairobi National Park right outside the window. Few restaurants in the city can offer a backdrop like this, and even fewer pair it with a menu this thoughtfully put together.

Our next Signature Night is the Indian Edition, and the team has been hard at work behind the scenes. Expect a generous buffet spread built around rich, slow-simmered curries, fragrant rice, warm breads straight off the tawa, and all the accompaniments that make Indian cuisine so beloved — think tangy pickles, cooling raita, and just the right amount of heat.

The celebration doesn’t wait until Friday. Every week, our chefs put together a Dish of the Week at Acacia Restaurant that leads up to that Friday’s theme — a little preview to get your taste buds warmed up, available à la carte throughout the week.
Here’s a taste of what’s been gracing our tables:
Asian Dish of the Week — Black Pepper Beef Sizzler Tender beef tossed in a punchy black pepper sauce, served sizzling hot with Asian slaw and egg fried rice. Ksh 3,000.
African Dish of the Week — Grilled Lamb Shoulder Chops Char-grilled lamb chops finished with a red onion gravy, served alongside kachumbari, creamed spinach and herb salt fries. A true taste of home. Ksh 2,800.
Indian Dish of the Week — Hyderabadi Dum Ka Murg A slow-cooked chicken curry built on layers of spice, served with jeera rice, buttered naan and pickles. Ksh 2,600.
Mediterranean Dish of the Week — Lemon Roasted Chicken Thighs. Bright, herby, and comforting — roasted chicken thighs in a creamy garlic sauce, paired with grilled vegetables and a mushroom quinoa finished with crumbled feta. Ksh 2,600.
Whichever night you walk in, there’s always something new to discover on the Acacia menu.
